Areas of Practice: 100% Personal Injury Litigation & Workers’ Compensation
Chris Kenworthy is a partner at Romania & Kenworthy, LLC. Chris joined the Law Office of George H. Romania, as an associate in January, 2016. He was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in November, 2009 and the United States District Court for Connecticut in 2017.
Prior to joining our office, Chris worked as a staff attorney for a major insurance company, defending hundreds of personal injury actions from inception through to trial. Chris originally started working for the insurance company as a law clerk while still in law school. In addition to learning valuable research, writing, litigation and trial skills, Chris learned a great deal about how insurance companies and their claim adjusters investigate, defend, value and negotiate personal injury claims. His experience working as a defense attorney has resulted in his ability to better prepare clients for depositions and other court proceedings, since he can anticipate the other side’s approach to each particular case.
Chris received his Juris Doctorate degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law, graduating magna cum laude, in May, 2009. While in law school, Chris served as the Articles and Opinions Editor of the Probate Law Journal, the fundraising chair for Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society and participated on the school’s mock trial and dispute resolution competition teams. Chris also interned in the United States District Court in Bridgeport, gaining valuable research and writing experience from working alongside a federal judge and the federal law clerks.
Chris received a number of academic awards while in school, including academic achievement awards in Property, Land Use and Planning, Investigative Criminal Procedure, Medical Malpractice and Patents Litigation, and upon graduating, including Superior Classroom Performance, Service to the Law School and CATIC Foundation awards. After graduating from Fairfield University with a degree in biology, Chris attended Sacred Heart University to complete the secondary education teacher certification program. Chris began teaching middle school science to seventh and eighth grade students at a charter school operated by a non-profit organization in Stamford. Chris also spent a year teaching at a public middle school in Bridgeport before deciding to pursue a career in the law. When not working on behalf of our clients, Chris enjoys soccer, golf, live music, chess and spending time with his family and friends.
